What is Squared Online
Squared Online is the product of over 200 hours of workshops with 30 agencies and over 300 professionals to define what marketing leaders need. It’s an online advanced level certificate developed with Google, endorsed by the IPA and delivered by Home Learning College. Crowd sourced by leading employers, enriched by expert guest speakers and taught fully online over 6- months, you’ll graduate with expertise highly valued by brands, agencies and employers.

Squared online features five sequential modules taught live online over 5 - 6 months. Each week you’ll have one evening class and will need to dedicate 8 hours to the programme.
We combine disciplines in strategy, technology, and management to help you understand an area in a real context. You’ll learn to achieve tasks collaboratively and you’ll always learn by doing.
Squared Online will challenge you to re-think your approach to learning, handling change and becoming part of creative and efficient teams.

Induction: Welcome to the revolution.
Welcome to the Digital Revolution. We’ll map out your Squared journey together and what the destination(s) might be.
Module One: A Connected World
You’ll be introduced to rapidly developing digital experiences that are present in our daily lives. We’ll develop your understanding of social consumers, ensuring you can recognise how brands might successfully operate in the digital arena, particularly within social media.
Module Two: Think Commercial
The start of your collaborative journey. We guide you in producing winning business ideas that come to life in the digital space, as well as how you might think about their application in a world proliferated by mobile technology
Module Three: Think Like A Brand
You’ll develop your grasp of fully integrated and converged digital campaigns, working towards a strategic understanding of the customer journey and how to be in the right place, addressing the right need, at the right time. We’ll take a particular focus on search, Adwords and display channels.
Module Four: Think Optimised
You’ll get to grips with Google Analytics tools and how they can provide that all important data and insight to user behaviour and beyond. You’ll also think about how you might optimise and continue to evolve your digital presence in a constructive and data driven way.
Module Five: The Ongoing Revolution
We encourage you to think digitally and to place digital at the core of everything you do to aid you in taking your Squared journey and applying it to your Squared life, both professionally and personally. You’ll be thinking about industry trends, change management and the ethics of digital.

Learning Experience
Live Online Classes
You’ll have a scheduled online class with your tutor at least once a week. These sessions allow you to cover all course theory and collaborate with your fellow Squares

Industry experts share their knowledge and inspire with unique recorded lectures and live hangouts, discussion panels and debates.
Expert tutors, facilitators and support coordinators
Your tutor will deliver your lessons and mark your assignments. They’re the first port of call, guiding day to day activities and acting as your mentor throughout your journey.
Virtual Campus
Your central hub for Squared Online. The Virtual Campus allows for a blend of individual work, team collaboration, discussions, lectures, downloadable material, streamed video and guidance from mentors.
Practical Skills Sessions
These sessions are all about technical, hands on skills. Whether it’s understanding responsive web design or setting up an AdWords campaign, each toolbox will teach you valuable skills.
Hands on Projects
Each project will have a different focus, from understanding how to grow a business to serving clients at an agency. You’ll get experience in group dynamics, organisational change, technology, platforms and strategy. You’ll gain a holistic experience of each project, making your skills easier to apply in the real world.
Assessment Throughout
There is no final exam for Squared Online. Instead, you’ll be continually monitored using real life case studies and peer and tutor assessment. This means you’ll be able to keep track of your progress and results to ensure you gain your certificate.

Qualifying for Squared Online
Squared Online delivers an advanced level certificate. To meet the entrance criteria, you’ll need a first or second class university degree, or either of the following:
- Over 3 years work experience (ideally in marketing/advertising)
- A Level 4+ marketing qualification (e.g. CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing)
