Unmanaged Switches

Definition

Unmanaged switches are basic plug-and-play switches which lack remote configuration or monitoring options, although many can be locally monitored and configured with LED indicators and DIP switches. These cheap switches are often used in small networks or to add temporary workgroups to larger networks.
